Serve pumpkin cheese burgers…or mummified hot dogs…or whatever Pinterest-inspired, Halloween-themed food you so desire. Maybe it’s just hot chocolate. But serve something.
And serve your neighbors.
This Halloween, make it a new tradition to serve up food and drink, give away candy, and hang out just a bit longer with your neighbors who stop by. Halloween is a great opportunity to “treat” your neighbors and get to know them a little better. Maybe you can learn more ways that you can serve them throughout the rest of the year too (not just October 31).
If you’re looking for more ways to be a light this Halloween, consider hosting a pumpkin-carving party sometime that week. Here are some more great ideas for living with Gospel-intentionality this month.
National Neighbor’s Night Out is Tuesday, October 4! It’s designed to promote safety in neighborhoods by helping neighbors get to know each other.
Some neighborhoods throw block parties. Some neighbors take a walk and say “hi” to their neighbors. Some neighbors just leave their porch lights on and sit outside.
National Night Out is a great opportunity to #BlessYourNeighbor.
What will you do?

Labor Day is an opportunity for rest from work. So Grassroots Church is celebrating the long Labor Day Weekend by encouraging you to rest on Sunday morning, September 4, instead of gathering together with us at our usual Sunday morning worship service.
So sleep late, and when you wake up, you will find a short devotional for you and your family to do together right here at grassrootspearland.org
Then, we’d like to encourage you to take some time out of your day to bless your local police department. Read more
