We get together on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. at 2014 Broadway Pearland, TX 77581 [google map] for our worship gathering. It lasts about an hour. All are welcome regardless of religious belief or non-belief.
What is Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper)?
Communion is a “meal” of a small piece of bread (we use gluten-free), dipped in a cup of grape juice. It is a visual reminder of Jesus’ broken body (the bread) and shed-blood (the juice) when he died on the cross. It’s a time that we confess our sins, celebrate Christ’s forgiveness, and invite the Holy Spirit to fill us as the bread fills our bodies. It is rich in symbolism and meaning.
You don’t have to be a member of our church to share in this meal with us. Anyone who desires to follow Jesus as Lord is welcome at the “table.” If you have questions about this, we’d love to talk with you about it. You might also find it helpful to read “The Best News You Could Ever Hear.”
What About Kids?
We love kids. Bring them with you. During the teaching time, they will be escorted to Worship Jr. (their own kids ministry teaching on a level appropriate for them.) Of course, kids of any age are welcome to stay with their parents for the entirety of the service if they choose.
What Do I Wear?
Wear whatever makes you most comfortable. Jeans, shorts, t-shirts, suits, or dresses.
What Do I Need to Bring?
If you own a Bible, we encourage you to bring one with you, along with something to take notes on/with. You might like to download the free Bible.com Bible App on your mobile device. You can follow along with our worship services under the “Live” section of the app – where all the Scriptures and notes will be pre-loaded for you.
Let Us Know You’re Planning to Attend
We’d love for you to tell us a little more about you (and your family) by filling out this short form so that we can roll out the red carpet for you on Sunday morning.
